Overview

My first full Robocon build. For ABU Robocon 2023, our 12-person team developed two three-wheel holonomic robots that navigate omnidirectionally, collect rings, and shoot them accurately at several target heights.

What I built

  • A spring-loaded catapult and a dual-flywheel launcher with a custom gearbox for variable-height shooting.
  • Two custom PCBs for power distribution and hardware integration.
  • A NodeMCU-based wireless control system running custom navigation algorithms.

Highlights

Working across Fusion 360, PCB design, CNC milling, laser cutting, polymer 3D printing, TIG welding, soldering, and mechanical assembly, we delivered a competition-ready platform and qualified for the national round — scoring 96/100 in Robot Design Documentation, our highest yet.
